The 2024 Trans-Mississippi Club Turf Internship Program Application is open and will close on Friday, November 8th at 5:00 pm. The Trans-Mississippi Golf Association has supported students in agronomy programs across the country for over 50 years. The Club Turf Scholarship Fund will again support students pursuing careers in agronomy, through the Trans-Mississippi Club Turf Internship Grant program. This past year the TMGA awarded eight internship grants and thirteen student scholarships totaling over $130,000. The TMGA’s goal is to continue to grow the Turf Fund and the awards given out each year to worth applicants.

This year the Turf Scholarship Fund is providing funds to Trans-Mississippi Member Golf Clubs to hire an intern to work on the agronomy staff. Grants will be awarded to selected member clubs who apply by the application deadline. Clubs that are chosen to receive the Internship Grants will be notified in early December. We hope that this internship will bring additional resources to the agronomy staff at the club and provide these young students the opportunity to enhance their education by working with some of the most highly regarded superintendents at the finest facilities across the country.

If your club is awarded an internship grant for the 2025 season, you will be required to provide contact information for your intern, financial support of payments, and provide a short remark from both the club's superintendent and intern at the completion of the internship detailing intern duties, special projects, and how the process worked.
